Mixing bouncy new wave pop hooks and a swirling psychedelic guitar sound,
this trio is obviously taking its cues from Garbage, as well as
their British 'shoegazer' predecessors, Lush.
But Jamie Jacobs is a winning front person, Greg Jones plays a mean and
distinctive guitar, and the colorful cast of characters populating these songs
("Beautiful Psycho," "Prozac Kitten," "Bond Girl") distinguishes the group from
mere copycats, marking it as one to watch.

Sour's Sounds Anything
Catchy hooks and a radio-friendly sound...
a catchy rock aesthetic that is instantly appealing.
Sassy and brash music with a fresh air of unpretentiousness.
Sour is one group prone to make your feet as happy as your ears.
- Tom Lounges, The Times -
- Marty Behm, Illinois Entertainer -
Textured guitars, big beats and Jamie Jacobs' soaring vocals give this
Chicago [band] a pleasing pop-rock crunch.
- Mary Houlihan, Chicago Sun-Times -
If you like Garbage, the odds are that you will love the quirky Chicago-based Sour.
I think this band has created one of the coolest local CDs that I have heard yet.
Their sound really rocks...very upbeat and fresh.
I think this is a great first album.
- Sarah Lounges, Midwest Beat Magazine -
This is Pop, and Pop done very well.
It's the whole power pop, new wave, guitar rock thing.
You can hear some 80's, some 90's and just a little year 2000.
The 12 songs on this self-titled CD are all strong.
Everything comes together here, it all works.
As Pop CD's go, Sour's is definitely a winner!
